passive house-low energy standard-BER

Energy saving passive house

Our company specializes in the construction of energy saving passive houses. In the construction we use the latest technologies in this field, environmentally friendly materials and complex engineering and architectural solutions. This allows the reduction of energy consumption to the lowest possible level within the house which saves significant sources for its owner. With combined use of alternative energy sources such as solar or wind energy, as well as geothermal sources energy, the house provides capability of obtaining partial or complete energy independency.

Advantages of passive houses

In the light of huge costs and energy losses at constant increase of its price, concept of the construction of passive houses draws attention of growing number of real estate owners and local governments. The reason for this sudden growth of interest is very simple – energy-efficient houses remove series of problems not only in terms of savings but also in terms of ecology and environmental protection.

Unlike regular house, a passive house has numerous advantages:

Energy saving and energy independence

Consumption of energy for the purposes of air-conditioning or heating is reduced by over ten times. Energy saving passive house provides an ability to eliminate centralized energy supply, using the energy generated by the house itself only.

Environmentally conscious

Ecologically clean materials used in construction are not health-threatening and airtightness of the building and use of its own energy sources are environmentally friendly and prevent air emissions of CO2 which appears as a combustion product for heating purposes in regular houses.

Comfortable and healthy

Pleasant micro-climate is created within the house, which produces comfortable and healthy atmosphere for those living in it. Hygienic features of air have positive effects on allergies due to disinfection and ozoning.

Main principles of passive house designing

The concept of passive house is based on the achievement of the greatest energy efficiency of the building possible, money savings owing to the reduction of energy consumption and environmental protection.

High efficiency of passive house energy saving is based on the following principles:

Rational spatial planning and correct orientation to cardinal points.

Spatial and plan designing, assuming tightness and correct geometry of a building for the reduction of heat losses.

Passive use of solar energy and its accumulation.

Use of highly efficient thermal insulation materials in multi-component facades, foundations and roofs. In passive houses, thermal conductivity coefficient of sheathing structures does not exceed 0,15W/(м·K). Thermal conductivity coefficient of windows must not exceed 0,8 W/(м·K).

Use of controlled ventilation system for air inflow- exhaust with recuperation, which allows minimization of heating costs. Owing to this system, air enters the house with a temperature which is close to the internal temperature of the house not requiring any additional heating or cooling.

Building airtightness – absence of thermal bridges and uncontrolled loss of thermal energy in materials and ingredients. A special calculation of thermal field allows the removal of all poor sites of the structure and their optimization at a later stage.
